Q. Does Mac OS X Server support password expiration?
A. No. (Not in 10.1.x)
A. Yes. MOSX Server 10.2.x supports two types of password authentication:
- Basic: Password is stored in encrypted form in the user's Netinfo record
- Advanced: Password is encrypted and stored in a database maintained by Password Server service, which can be run on the same server or on a different one. Password Server authentication allows not only expiration, but also enforcement of a minimum length.
